Giffords Hall Estate is an ambitious and growing 2,000ac operation with a strong commitment to conservation and regenerative agriculture. As part of our ongoing development we’ve recently introduced a premium Wagyu beef enterprise alongside our existing herd of cattle, 80 breeding ewes and small scale pig operation.
We are now looking for a skilled and enthusiastic stockperson to join our team and assist in the following tasks:
- Daily care for 40 head of cattle and 80 ewes
- Engage with breeding programs, lambing and calving operations Monitor pasture health
- Maintain accurate livestock records
- Implement and promote regenerative farming techniques
- Assist in maintaining and developing farm infrastructure
- Work closely with the Estate team to align agricultural and environmental goals
- Participate in estate-wide projects such as habitat restoration You will be expected to work well in a small team and as an individual. Weekend livestock checks will be on a rotational basis with the Estate Team
Skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in pasture fed farming system as well as systems with total mixed ration diets
- Tractor and telehandler driving
- Practical skills in fencing, machinery maintenance and general estate skills
- Knowledge of regenerative farming principles and willingness to apply them
